Gary and I took Hunter and Alyssa camping this past weekend. We stayed at a nice campground only 9 miles from their house, but it was in the woods out in the country, so it felt like a long way off. They loved getting to sleep in our new camper. They fell asleep each night watching movies and woke up really early each morning. The first morning they had all the blinds open by 6:30! Gary and Hunter built big campfires both morning and night. We took long walks and gathered leaves to make leaf prints for our stick books. We walked out on the dock at the lake and fed the ducks. We cooked yummy food and ate picnic style. We enjoyed the warm fall weather and spent a lot of time outside playing games. Amy and Olivia joined us during the day and early evenings. I know Alyssa loved the camp trip because she kept hugging me every few minutes the whole weekend! Hunter really enjoyed Gary teaching him how to build a fire. On Sunday morning, we had a little birthday party for Olivia's 2nd birthday and then we all went to church. It was a special weekend for us all!
