Our Visit to Las Vegas

Lil' Will and James visit with Santa in downtown Las Vegas.

Gary and I flew to Las Vegas early Tuesday morning to spend a week with Will and Emily and Lil' Will and James. They picked us up at the airport and then drove us over to the town center where the boys got to visit Santa. Afterwards, they played on the playground and then we had a nice lunch at a fancy pizza place. Will toured us around Nellis Air Force base and showed us lots of interesting things. Emily prepared us a delicious beef stew for dinner and then we played with the boys till bedtime. (Gary and I were wiped out because we had gotten up at 2:30 AM to be at the Asheville airport at 4 for our 5:30 flight.) Wednesday morning we went to a children's hands on museum. We had a lot of fun in all the different learning areas. The boys especially liked the airport where they checked baggage over and over. They also enjoyed the grocery store where they choose items, rang them up, then re-shelved them-well actually all of us adults did the re-shelving! They also liked working on the car in the garage area. After the museum we ate a yummy lunch at Chipotles. Will and Emily had a fancy military dinner to go to that evening so Grandma and Grandpa babysat Lil' Will and James. We had lots of fun getting to play with them one-on-one. We fed them, bathed them, and had them in bed by the assigned 8 PM bedtime, so we felt it was a successful evening. More adventures from our trip to follow soon.

The hurricane chamber blew us away!

Full of energy but so sweet!

The boys give Grandma a massage or "saage" as the boys called it.

James gives it a try, too!

A successful landing on the couch.
