Afternoon Hike to Catawba Falls

Gary and I took a hike this afternoon to a place we have never been before. We had camped at the nearby campground with the church and Autumn and Logan about a year ago, but did not know about the falls so close by. Today Gary decided we would explore it. It is only about a 30 minute drive from Asheville. The hike was fairly easy with some moderate incline and a little rock climbing at the falls. I of course slid off a rock early into the hike and got my tennis shoe and sock soaked. Still it was definitely worth it, as the view was spectacular. All through the trees and on up the mountain were many, many falls all glistening through the rocks and leaves.
Zoom in to see the multiple falls all through the trees

Beautiful stream all the way to the falls

Very beautiful and so peaceful!

wow, those little water falls are beautiful! You guys look like prepared hikers with your walking pole and water bottle holder thingys. I love that you do these little adventures together! your eyes were open in this picture too!
