We love to hike in the fall weather. Bent Creek has always been one of our favorite spots especially since it is only about 15 minutes from our house. It was 50 degrees when we started out but 60 when we finished-perfect weather for hiking. Gary took us on a trail called Deerfield Loop. It was quite an incline for awhile so we both broke into a sweat. It was very quiet and secluded though and really beautiful. The leaves are starting to turn but we still have a couple of weeks before the colors burst into their full glory. These photos show yet more reasons why we love to go into the woods!

What's up? Dad is not doing anything strange to the tree this year? We have lot's of great pictures of Dad doing weird things with that beaver tree.... he must be sick still.
